December 8, 2023 will be LOAPUD's 85th Anniversary!

North Burbank Public Utility District was established in 1938 by a group of Oroville residents.  The purpose and goal of the District was the construction of a new sewer system and provide the residents of the southside of Oroville with more sanitary disposal system.  In 1988, when the District had grown to include the Kelly Ridge and outlying areas, the name was changed to Lake Oroville Area Public Utility District (LOAPUD).
